-Remediated ransomware attack, rebuilt Azure environment, Entra ID and systems post breach for a 1.2-billion-dollar retail company - 2024.

-Remediated ransomware attack for data science company located in the United States with revenues of 100 million - 2024.  Rebuilt Azure environment, Entra ID, Intune, Autopilot and Conditional Access Policies.

-Investigated root cause of attack for State Health Department agency in the United States - 2024.

-Developed new phishing and automated reporting methodology for11,000 employees at BC Hydro - 2023.

-Developed new security awareness training for 11000 employees at BC Hydro, maintained vendor relationships to develop the content, ensured the employee completion rate was at 96% and compiled precise reports for executive management - 2023.

-Started cybersecurity provider called WPS Cyber Alert and acted as Chief Information Security Officer.  This role dealt with implementation of organizational architecture aligned with NIST standards, MDR implementation, account management, executive advisory, compliance programs such as GDPR, CCPA, BC Privacy and Protection Act, building security architecture, audits, gap assessments, risk management, security awareness, high level program implementation, developed marketing materials and drove organizational cybersecurity - 2022.

-Developed curriculum for seven advanced cybersecurity courses for second year students, developed labs, mentored students, developed and graded assignments, developed curriculum, offered feedback to other students and worked as a team.

-Implemented Azure AD, InTune for mobile devices, Microsoft 365 security, Duo MFA, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Conditional Access policies - Olson Remcho - 2022.

-Implemented MDR for an outsourced SOC for multiple clients and responded to incidents. - Olson Remcho - Highcom Security - 2022.

-Implemented Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Windows Autopilot, Conditional Access Policies, Windows Defender, secure network architecture using Meraki devices, single sign on and multifactor authentication using OneLogin - Lilac Solutions - 2021.

-Responded to ransomware attack for physical security company that affected all workstations and servers.  Attack was contained and we were able to recover from the attack and restore all systems within five days.

-Implemented data classification and encryption controls for a company to ensure their intellectual property was protected against competitors - EnChroma Inc. - 2021.

-Constructed a ten server Remote Desktop Server farm with security built in on AWS, using Duo for multifactor authentication, LimaCharlie for monitoring, secured FSXLogix for file shares, secure site-to-site VPN connections based on IKEv2 so the farm was accessible from all three offices - Olson Remcho - 2021.

-Conducted security audit with Aramature Systems in California for Lilac Solutions.  Our controls were sufficient, and we passed the audit with no recommendations - Lilac Solutions - 2021.

-Implemented mailbox security for Office 365, multifactor authentication, environment hardening for Exchange Online, AD Sync and hardening recommendations in line with CIS guidelines - Olson Remcho - 2021.

-Implemented new secure network infrastructure for church in California.  Deployment included locking down the firewall, tuning the IPS, site-to-site VPN connections, rogue access point detections and a captive guest portal - Sunset Church - 2021.

-Responded to enterprise scale ransomware attack for MSC with PSA International CSIRT - PSA International - 2020.

-Deployed a hardened version of Oracle Financials with a multinational team from Belgium, India and Singapore for 300 users - PSA International - 2020.

-Implemented PSA cybersecurity architecture based on NIST for all terminals across Canada under the direction of the CEO for the Americas - PSA International - 2020.

-Completed cloud security recommendations and presentations for all c level executives within PSA provided 3-4 hours of training for executives - PSA International - 2020.

-Completed on-premises lift and shift to AWS with security built-in for 15 servers in a law firm merger.  Configured CloudWatch, Route 53, VPCs, redundancy amongst regions, multifactor authentication, storage, lifecycle media storage polices, backups, encryption and server hardening for IaaS - Olson Remcho - 2019.

-Completed on-premise move from Exchange to Exchange Online for 150 mailboxes.  This included hardening the Office 365 environment per Microsoft best practice - Olson Remcho - 2019.

-Deployed SentinelOne via Group Policy Objects to 150 workstations and servers - Olson Remcho - 2019.

-Implemented security awareness training to over 300 users - Olson Remcho - Highcom Security - EnChroma Inc. - Lilac Solutions - 2019.

-Developed security architecture with Deloitte for law firms in California for GDPR compliance - Numerous clients - 2018.

-Participated in audits with Deloitte for GDPR client for law firms in California and implemented mitigations to reduce risk and ensure compliance with GDPR - Numerous clients - 2018.

-Responded to ransomware attack to law firm in California.  I ended up performing a migration to AWS and securing the environment.  There was no data loss and recovery time was 1.5 days - Remcho Johansen Purcell - 2018.

-Implemented email security using Mimecast to reduce phishing emails.  Configured many policies such as impersonation protection, malware detection. - BJG - RJP -2018.

-Participated in numerous NIST audits for clients - 2018.

-Implemented secure network architecture using Meraki device and cloud appliances to secure client network - EnChroma - 2018.

-Migrated 100 mailboxes from on-premises Exchange to a secure Office 365 tenant - BJG - 2017.

-Migrated all on-premises servers to Amazon Web Services is a secured environment - BJG - 2017.

-Implemented MaaS 360 for Mobile Device Management for 70 users.  Configured secure container for corporate applications and created documentation for deployment - BJG - 2017.

-Moved small business to a secured AWS environment - 2016.

-Developed comprehensive security policies such as AUP, data classification, Business Continuity Planning, Disaster Recovery, Crisis Communications, Endpoint Security plans etc. - 2016.

Prior to this my experience includes deploying endpoint management solutions, Active Directory, virtual private networks, network security, file system audits, IPS / IDS deployment.

In addition, I implemented ITILv3 standards for the City of Victoria Service Desk, project managed the first iOS app for the City of Victoria, participated in a $400 million dollar merger between Custom House and Western Union Business Solutions.
